RSW-ICE for the fishing industry is another new development, and this concept combines the ability to produce RSW (Refrigerated Sea Water) and Flow-Ice. This system pre-cools the water in RSW mode, and once  the water reaches freezing temperatures, the system changes seamlessly over to ice production mode. This system is used in large fishing trawlers to pre-chill and maintain fish. The advantage is that fish quality is much better due to the speed of chilling and lower peak power requirements.

Applications

Some large pelagic fishing vessels require a combination of RSW (Refrigerated Sea Water) and ICE.

The advantage of the EverFlo™ is that the system can be used in combination.

During low peak times on board, the system will provide a buffer of ice in the tanks. When fish arrive and are delivered to the tanks, shock cooling will reduce initial temperatures, and the EverFlo™ system can then continue to chill and maintain the fish.
